Ep 438 | Hitting that Sweet Spot between Heart, Humor, and High Stakes
Description
Drinking With Authors | Featuring Eric N. Lard
Grab your towel, pour a cold one, and prepare for interdimensional mayhem—Eric N. Lard joins Nick Savage, our new host of Drinking With Authors!
Author of the action-packed Incursion Chronicles, Eric crafts science fiction that’s fast, witty, and full of edge. His latest book, The Renegade Bode Nine (Book 3 in the series), is available for preorder now and launches September 19, 2025—so it’s the perfect time to get to know the mind behind the madness.
Based in Northern California at the base of the Sierra Nevada, Eric’s life is an adrenaline mix of surfing, snowboarding, and mountain biking with his wife and three sons. His nightstand is stacked with The Martian, Murderbot Diaries, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and a touch of Stephen King for good measure—so you know his sci-fi hits that sweet spot between heart, humor, and high stakes.
Tonight, he’ll be sipping on a Moksa Brewing Farcaster W.C. IPA while he and Nick talk time travel, character chaos, creative discipline (or lack thereof), and why the best stories come from the weirdest places.
