Northern Virginia Coaches Panel: Landstown vs Westfield (VHSL 6A Final) + All-NOVA Team Debate
Description
Today I’m joined by an outstanding panel of Northern Virginia high school basketball coaches — David Houston (West Potomac), Sherman Rivers (Patriot), Carlos Poindexter (Hayfield), Doug Craig (Woodson), and Mike Desmond (South Lakes) — to wrap up the 2025 Northern Virginia high school basketball season. We break down a hypothetical All–Northern Virginia team, discuss the structure of the VHSL postseason and areas where the system could improve, preview the upcoming VHSL Class 6A State Final between Landstown and Westfield—two of the top teams in Virginia all season, and take an early look ahead to the 2026–27 season and players to watch across Northern Virginia.Always great catching up with this panel of respected coaches and talking VHSL basketball, Northern Virginia high school hoops, and the future of the game in our region.
