The Support Gap for Families of Multiples with Silje Anderson-Cooke from the Australian Multiple Birth Assocation (AMBA)

Season 1 Episode 2 Published 3 months, 2 weeks ago
Description

This week marks Multiple Birth Awareness Week, a time dedicated to recognising the unique experiences and challenges faced by families raising twins, triplets and more.

In this episode, we speak with Silje, Chairperson of the Australian Multiple Birth Association (AMBA) and a mum to triplets and a six-year-old. Alongside her advocacy work, Silje brings powerful lived experience to the conversation about what it really looks like to raise multiples.

We talk about why awareness matters, the gaps that still exist in support for multiples families, and what needs to change so parents navigating pregnancy, birth and life with multiples feel better seen and supported.

Because raising multiples is a completely different experience — and families of multiples deserve support that reflects that.
