Clare senior football manager Paul Madden says he's frustrated by his side's first half performance which proved costly in The Banner's promotion hunt in the National Football League.
A spirited second half display, where Clare outscored their opponents 2-11 to 0-5, wasn't enough as Wexford claimed a three point win in Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chiosóg.
The result paired with Westmeath's victory over Limerick means Clare will again remain in Division 3 for the 2027 campaign.
Madden says they let the game get away from them in the second quarter.
