We've discussed a lot about proper exercise techniques and understanding how our body moves to maximize the gains we can get in the gym. Yet, one aspect of weight training whose importance can be both over exaggerated and underutilized in the "negative" of the lift. From the need to have proper execution to the reliance on a skilled spotter the negative can be a very daunting aspect of weight training that makes many of us fearful of utilizing that one aspect of training necessary to get through a plateau.
