Ideas that have become so ingrained into our ideals about how our body works—the simple suggests that you need so many servings of specific foods to eat if you want to have a healthy body or that if you eat fewer Calories than you “burn,” you lose weight. If you eat more, you gain.

It's elegantly simple and intuitively logical, and for decades, it's been the cornerstone of nearly every weight loss strategy. But is there truth to these ideas or is just misleading you? Well, let's talk about that...
