Toronto's New King + The Bunting Decision w/ Craig Simpson

Published 2 years, 11 months ago
Description

JD Bunkis kicks off the show discussing another masterful outing by Yusei Kikuchi in his redemption season (00:01). Later on, he turns his attention to Leafs-Lightning Game 5 with the possibility of Toronto closing the series out at home and tries to talk through how and when Michael Bunting should be re-inserted into the lineup. He then welcomes on a man who will be on the Sportsnet call tonight and has won multiple Stanley Cups, Craig Simpson (11:21). Having done it all in the league, Simmer gives his thoughts on what Bunting himself, his teammates and Sheldon Keefe are all contemplating in terms of re-adding the winger. They look at the projected Leafs lines, specifically splitting up Matthews and Marner, as well as the mental aspect (and maybe hurdle) both the team and fans have to get over in tonight’s game to wrap up the series. Will tonight be the night?! As always, JD closes the radio hour with his best bets sponsored by Betano. In today's podcast-only portion, JD gives his thoughts on Ime Udoka’s intro press comments specifically relating to the Raptors, and oh yeah… the NFL Draft is tonight (50:32)!
