Description
San Jose Sharks Forward Ty Dellandrea Signs Two-Year Contract Extension
The San Jose Sharks have secured the services of forward Ty Dellandrea for the next two seasons, signing him to a two-year contract worth $3.25 million. The 25-year-old, who was set to become a free agent, will now stay with the team through the 2027-28 season.
Dellandrea, who was injured in January, had a strong start to the season before his injury, recording two goals and nine assists in 42 games. He led Sharks forwards in faceoff wins at 52.3% and ranked second in hits (117) and blocked shots (36).
The forward, who spent his first four NHL seasons with Dallas, has played in 261 career games, scoring 17 goals and 44 assists.
In other news, the Sharks have called up goalie Laurent Brossoit from the AHL to replace Yaroslav Askarov, who is recovering from a minor lower-body injury. Brossoit, who has 118 career starts, last played in the NHL in the 2023-24 season after being traded from Chicago in January.
