In Operation Lion's Roar, the Israeli Defense Forces said operatives of the Iranian regime who operated within a command center of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in central Tehran were eliminated as part of a wide-scale air campaign. Dozens of fighter jets conducted additional waves of strikes on infrastructure sites tied to the Iranian regime in Tehran and other areas in Iran. The jets, acting on intelligence, identified operatives within the IRGC command center in the heart of Tehran; within seconds of the identification, the jets struck and eliminated the operatives. The strikes also targeted infrastructure in Tehran including command centers and situation rooms used by the IRGC's air force; a compound at the heart of the central military university of the IRGC, Imam Hussein University, used by the regime's operatives to oversee the campaign and conduct meetings; sites used to store and manufacture ballistic missiles prepared for launch, as well as missiles designated to harm Israeli aircraft operating in Tehran. Simultaneously, command centers and military bases of the Internal Security and Basij forces were struck.
Additionally, opposition sources report drones operated by Israeli and American forces in the skies over Tehran attacking barricades that Basij members erected to control crowds and suppress protests; the drones are said to be aimed at these barriers.
In another development, Iranians in occupied Iran are recording and thanking the United States and Israel as drones carry out military operations against the IRGC and Basij.
In Direct Israel-Iran Clashes, a video recorded in Tehran minutes ago shows the aftermath of a precise drone strike by the Israeli Air Force eliminating a convoy of the security forces of the Islamic regime on Chamran Highway; you can see fire trucks at the scene trying to put out the fires.
In US Military Role, RAF Fairford in the United Kingdom is loading bunker-busting bombs onto American strategic bombers.
In Regional Impacts, the war with Iran is reshaping Middle East dynamics and sidelining Palestinian issues, with crises intensifying in the West Bank and Gaza, and the Palestinian Authority increasingly sidelined from decisions shaping the region. Analysts Hiba Husseini and Kobi Michael offer different readings, but both note the Palestinian arena is being pulled along by a regional war set elsewhere.
Also in Regional Impacts, an Iraqi port official said two foreign tankers carrying Iraqi fuel oil were attacked within Iraqi territorial waters in the Persian Gulf, causing both to catch fire; authorities evacuated 25 crewmembers. Iran also reported a wave of attacks, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps launched missile attacks on Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates. An oil tanker was struck by an Iranian drone at Umm Qasr Port, Basrah, in southern Iraq, and is engulfed in flames, with fire breaking out on another oil tanker near Umm Qasr port in Basra. Iraqi channels also reported that multiple tankers were burning in the Persian Gulf off Basra following a coordinated Iranian attack.
In the Conflict with Iran and its Regional Proxies, the Israeli Defense Forces precisely struck two Hamas terrorists who planned to carry out an imminent terror attack and posed a real threat to IDF forces operating in Gaza City, north Gaza, in the past day. As part of the operation to clear the Rafah area of underground terror infrastructures and terrorists, Golani Brigade combat teams located two additional terrorists in an underground compound who were eliminated, and a cache of numerous weapons in the compound
