They explore why human dignity is rooted in being made in God’s image rather than in utility or achievement, tracing the consequences when that foundation is removed — from the Lord of the Flies to euthanasia in Canada. They also take up the question of happiness, asking why nothing in this world fully satisfies, and what the Beatitudes have to say about it.
