Description
In a culture that tells us to climb the ladder, step over the competition, and "look out for number one," Jesus offers a completely different blueprint. He didn't come to claim a physical throne through force; He came to overthrow pride through service. By looking at the Last Supper in John 13, we see that the King of Kings performed a task so lowly that even common servants weren't expected to do it. This message challenges us to shift our posture and embrace the "Servolution." -- Serving requires a shift in posture, moving from a desire to be recognized to a heart that is willing to be used behind the scenes. -- In the upside-down kingdom of God, the way to the top is actually a move toward the bottom; whoever wants to be first must choose to be last. -- Security in our identity is the key to humility; because Jesus knew exactly who He was, He was not afraid to stoop low. -- Serving is not a selective act for those we like; Jesus set the example by washing the feet of everyone at the table, including Judas. -- A "Servolution" transforms communities when we stop waiting for perfect moments and start serving in the messy, inconvenient ones.
