Description
Despite his reluctance to continue in office, George Washington wins a second term unanimously. John Adams defeats a challenge by NY Governor George Clinton. Clinton also wins a controversial reelection as governor as his opponents cry foul when Clinton supporters prevent three counties from having their votes counted.
