The Buffalo Sabres and Tampa Bay Lightning played one of the best hockey games we've seen played in a decade, and it certainly was the best one played at KeyBank Center. The Sabres crowd was electric from start to finish in an atmosphere that rivals the 2006 playoffs. It was loud from beginning to end. The game featured over 100 penalty minutes, most sparked by Tampa players going after Sabres players with dirty plays, especially attacking Rasmus Dahlin and Tage Thompson. The Sabres answered the bell defending their best players. We also got crazy comebacks, from the Lightning's three goal comeback in the 2nd period, to the Sabres two goal comeback in the 3rd to win the game. It was an incredible game from Josh Doan, Tage Thompson, Rasmus Dahlin, and plenty of other players. One difference in the game was Lindy Ruff getting his guys to play the game, while Jon Cooper could never get a handle on his.
