A Prayer for the Thirst Within Us

Loving God,

You know the thirst that lives within us—

the longing for meaning,

for peace,

for a life that feels whole.

You know the hopes we carry

for stability,

for provision,

for the things that allow life to flourish.

Too often we return to wells

that promise satisfaction

but leave us thirsty again.

Turn our hearts toward the deeper source.

Draw us to the living water

that flows from your love.

And as you fill our lives with what we truly need—

give us peace for our spirits,

strength for our journey,

and enough

for the life you are inviting us to live.
