# Artificial Lure's LA Fishing Report

Hey folks, Artificial Lure here with your Sunday morning Los Angeles fishing report.

**Tidal Conditions**

We've got some interesting tides working in our favor today. Santa Monica's showing a low tide at 7:28 AM with 0.89 feet, followed by a high tide at 1:23 PM hitting 2.75 feet. Over at the Port of Los Angeles, we're looking at a low tide at 7:27 AM with 1.44 feet and a high tide at 1:27 PM. The tidal movement is moderate but definitely workable for the morning session.

**Fish Activity & Recent Catches**

Based on recent activity in Southern California waters, we've been seeing solid action on White Seabass, Halibut, Yellowtail, and Rockfish. The overnight and multi-day charter boats operating out of Channel Islands have been consistently targeting these species, which tells us the conditions are favorable. Sheephead and Lingcod have also been cooperative lately.

**Best Techniques & Baits**

If you're hitting the surf, up-size your gear with a 6/0 hook and cast a half mackerel into the water at night—that's a proven method for pulling in something substantial. For general saltwater work around LA, fresh mackerel and live bait presentations are your friends right now.

**Hot Spots**

Santa Monica's always a solid choice with predictable tides and consistent structure. The Channel Islands area continues to produce quality fish on charter and private boats alike.
