POEMS BY QUEEN ANGELA
UnapologeticallyI rise each day with the sun on my skin, Unfolding like petals—brave, wild within. I am not the echo of anyone’s fears, Nor the shadow of yesterday’s tears.I move through this world, shoulders unbowed, Unshaken by judgement or whispers aloud. My laughter, my scars, all woven in gold— I wear every story, unbroken, untold.I am soft as the dawn and fierce as the flame, Not here for approval or fitting the frame. I carry my history, pain, and delight— They fuel my purpose, they color my light. No more shrinking smaller to fit in their space, No more hiding truth or masking my face. I shine incomplete, I speak all my names— I am who I am, through thunder and rain.So let the world wonder, let critics deride; My spirit’s unruly, my soul open wide. With courage, compassion, and audacity— Each day, I choose to be Unapologetically me.Legacy & VisionI plant my hopes like seeds beneath the restless earth, Dreams that tremble, waiting for sun and honest birth. Let every word I speak, each gentle deed I give, Etch kindness and courage in memories that live.Beyond my given years, I send my vision forth— A river of understanding, of love, of growing worth. Not for stone or fleeting praise to wear my name so bold, But for compassion’s quiet tide in hearts that I’ve consoled.May my laughter linger softly on a grandchild’s hopeful face, May forgiveness bloom in gardens I have tended with grace.
