Ilaria Piazza (EMBL Predoctoral Fellow, 2009-2014) speaks with Thomas Vaccari (EMBL Predoctoral fellow, 1999-2004) about her career progression to becoming a group leader, the value of working in different countries for scientific curiosity and winning the John Kendrew Award.
