Back to EpisodesFrom Nurse Whistleblower to Functional Nurse: Michelle's Story
Description
Melissa is joined by Michelle Spencer, RN, a former hospital nurse who became a whistleblower after raising concerns about patient safety and transparency within the healthcare system. In this episode, Michelle shares her journey from conventional nursing to becoming a functional nurse and speaking out about what she witnessed inside the hospital setting. The conversation explores a lawsuit funded by Children’s Health Defense alleging that a California hospital concealed internal evidence related to a surge in stillbirths following COVID vaccination and retaliated against Michelle after she raised concerns. Today, Michelle operates Healing Ground, her own holistic and functional medicine practice, where she supports patients using functional medicine, NAET, and acupressure. She shares how becoming a functional nurse allowed her to leave the traditional system and help patients pursue root-cause healing.
