Uk: Надворі був холодний і сірий день.
En: Outside, it was a cold and gray day.

Uk: Пізня зима вкривала землю біля сирітського притулку вологим снігом та мінливим небом.
En: The late winter covered the ground near the orphanage with wet snow and a changeable sky.

Uk: Цегляна, невелика будівля з плющем, що повилася стінами, виглядала знайомо для Дмитра та Оксани.
En: The small brick building with ivy climbing its walls looked familiar to Dmytro and Oksana.

Uk: Вони тут виросли, а тепер повернулися, щоб закрити давні рани.
En: They had grown up here, and now they returned to close old wounds.

Uk: Дмитро стояв у дворі, дивлячись на старі гойдалки, що скрипіли під вітром.
En: Dmytro stood in the yard, looking at the old swings creaking in the wind.

Uk: Він згадував дитинство й сподівався знову побачити Оксану.
En: He recalled his childhood and hoped to see Oksana again.

En: "Oksano, it's good to see you," replied Dmytro, a bit afraid to speak about what had long troubled him.

Uk: "Я теж.
En: "I feel the same.

Uk: Давно не була тут," - зауважила вона, обводячи поглядом знайомі місця.
En: It's been a long time since I've been here," she noted, glancing around at familiar places.

Uk: Вони почали розмовляти, й спогади один за одним поверталися до життя.
En: They began to talk, and memories came back to life one by one.

Uk: Про новорічні свята в притулку, забави у дворі, мрії, що їх так і не вдалося здійснити.
En: About the New Year's celebrations at the orphanage, the games in the yard, dreams that never came true.
