Hr: U školskom dvorištu bilo je veselo i šareno.
En: The schoolyard was cheerful and colorful.
Hr: Cvijeće u punom cvatu uljepšava pogled, a zrak je ljetni, lagan i mirisan.
En: Flowers in full bloom enhanced the view, and the air was summer-like, light, and fragrant.
Hr: Učenici su se pripremali za proljetni festival.
En: The students were preparing for the spring festival.
Hr: Među njima su bili Luka i Ivana.
En: Among them were Luka and Ivana.
Hr: Luka je stajao na rubu dvorišta, promatrajući probe školskog benda.
En: Luka stood at the edge of the yard, watching the school band's rehearsals.
Hr: Bila je to njegova tajna strast - glazba.

Hr: Luka je duboko udahnuo i zaputio se prema njoj.
En: Luka took a deep breath and headed towards her.
Hr: "Ivana, možemo li pričati?
En: "Ivana, can we talk?"
Hr: " - rekao je, glasom koji je pomalo zadrhtao.
En: - he said, his voice slightly trembling.
Hr: "Naravno, Luka!
En: "Of course, Luka!
Hr: Što se događa?
En: What's going on?"
Hr: " - odgovorila je vedro.
En: - she replied cheerfully.

En: I really love music.

En: Ivana looked at him with surprise.
