Description
It seems that in the Apostle Paul’s day, some Jews, particularly a contingent based out of Jerusalem, followed him from newly established church to church and told the people there that in order to be truly acceptable to God, you also had to keep the Jewish religious rituals, called ‘The Law’.
Now, in truth, a version of the same message still circulates today. But those who know the Lord, and who study His Word, understand that it says something very different. We know that being forgiven and being declared righteous before God is by faith alone, aside from any religious obligations that people try to put on you.
And yet… the Mosaic law is still there; we can still see it in the Old Testament. And its very presence raises a question that has troubled believers for centuries: And that’s not an unimportant question. If you’ve ever studied the Bible seriously, you know it’s a real issue. However, God gave us one book in the New Testament whose main purpose is to answer that question in detail and address every possible implication that arises out of that fact: The book of Galatians….
