God,

You know how hard times wear on us.

You see how frustration replaces trust

and how fear can overwhelm hope.

When the road feels longer than we expected,

our patience grows thin

and our hearts begin to close.

Keep our hearts from hardening.

Help us hold on to hope,

to joy,

to gratitude —

the quiet gifts

that keep our hearts tender.

And when the road feels heavy

and we lose sight of Your presence,

remind us again

that You are still with us

on the journey.
