Food, wine, creativity, and a little bit of magic. That is exactly what the Untamed Dinner is bringing to the Central Coast this weekend.

On this episode of Up+Adam, Adam sits down with Chef Candace Custodio, executive director of At Her Table, and Chef Katie Prescott, the culinary mind behind this year’s Untamed Dinner happening Sunday at Ella’s Vineyard in Creston. The dinner is part of the monthlong At Her Table celebration, a Central Coast movement dedicated to elevating and celebrating the women shaping the region’s food, wine, and hospitality industries.

This year’s Untamed Dinner takes a slightly different approach. Instead of multiple chefs contributing individual courses, Chef Candace handed the entire culinary story to one chef. Enter Chef Katie Prescott, a self taught chef whose path to the kitchen includes 14 years in dentistry before discovering her creative home in the wine and culinary world of the Central Coast. Her menu will unfold like an album, with each course designed to be interactive and sensory driven, paired with wines from some of the region’s standout producers.

During the conversation, the chefs also share some exciting news. Chef Candace Custodio has officially stepped into a major new role as Executive Chef at Cass Winery, bringing her culinary voice to one of Paso Robles’ most beloved winery kitchens.

From dumplings and miso broth to playful takes on trending desserts, the Untamed Dinner promises an evening of storytelling through food, wine, and experience.
