This week we're working on a revision for out RGB LCD Shield kit (https://www.adafruit.com/product/715) which will also be used to revise our RGB LCD Plate (https://www.adafruit.com/product/1109). Originally these were designed as kits - this was before we had our big pick and place machine. But post-chip-shortage, we're thinking it's a good time to revise these to be mostly SMT. We need to find an SMT equivalent of the 'common' 6x6mm tactile switch, with the same height and shape, so that if folks were using the old design in a project or product, the new version will fit just the same.
