Back to EpisodesHigh Tide, Higher Intentions: Moonshiner Collective Brings New Music to Up+Adam
Description
Up+Adam with Adam Montiel - March 3, 2026 - Sponsored by Portabidet
Local Americana rock with heart, history, and just the right amount of swagger.
On this episode of Up+Adam, Adam sits down with Dan Curcio of Moonshiner Collective to talk about the band’s brand-new EP, Power of Now, and what it means to revisit songs written 20 years ago with a little more life lived and a little more space between the notes.
From recording in Los Angeles during the chaos of the fires to mixing at Sonic Milk in Cambria, Dan shares how this six-song project became both a creative reset and a full-circle moment. They dig into what it’s like to rework Still Time favorites like “High Tide,” how intentionality changes with age, why leaving space in music matters, and how collaboration with Nick Larson of Proxima Parada and local favorite Kate Armstrong helped shape the new sound.
Dan also performs two brand-new songs live in studio, “End of the Sunset” and “Falling,” and gives us a preview of what to expect March 20 at SLO Brew Rock. Carbon City Lights open the night, Visit SLO CAL will be filming across the Central Coast, and every ticket purchase includes a free download of the EP before its official release.
This is more than an album release. It is a celebration of community, growth, and the power of being present.
