Rebekah speaks with Sr Mary Sheila Maksim of the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia and Vocations Limerick about a unique women’s retreat taking place on the vigil of Laetare Sunday, Saturday 14th March, at Holy Family Mission in Glencomeragh, Co. Waterford. The Laetare Vigil will have women religious from over 20 congregations coming together to host a day of prayer, talks, one-on-one conversations with sisters, and a two-hour Eucharistic adoration vigil, the event is open to all women regardless of state of life. Sr. Mary Sheila also shares encouraging signs of a real uptick in vocations across Ireland, from fuller seminaries to new discernment groups for women.
