Episode Details

Orochimaru was a brilliant scientist and Shinobi with with such promise that he squandered. I find myself thinking about it a lot. Like, why he was evil and stuff. I know a lot of it spawned from the death of his parents and the feelings he got after that. Feeling helpless, feeling like he had no power. That would serve as plenty enough explanation, but it still makes me wonder about it though. After all, he didn’t appear to be evil from the complete start to me. Troubled, but not necessarily evil. I can’t forget when Dan died in Tsunade’s arms, how Orochimaru was crying. That was empathy. That was a form of love. That was a gasp from the goodness inside of Orochimaru. So I can’t help but wonder what changed since then. How was it that Orochimaru could go from crying over the death of a comrade to celebrating the death of his master? To trying to kill the same people he grew up with? Well, today, I wanna look at Orochimaru in a whole new light. I want to see what would happen if Hiruzen took a more proactive step in Orochimaru’s life after the death of his parents, to see if maybe he could help Orochimaru heal from the ordeal in hopes that maybe it’ll alter who he grows up to be…
