Published 2 weeks, 2 days ago
Description

The deadly attacks on Iran and retaliatory strikes across the Middle East have caused chaos on travellers around the world, with hundreds of flights cancelled.

The Australian Airports Association said local hubs were accommodating 30 aircraft from Middle Eastern carriers that are on the ground following diversions and flight cancellations.

The Australian government has upgraded its travel advice for Israel, Lebanon, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates to "Do Not Travel", urging Australians to leave those countries "if it is safe to do so".
