Sisterhood Rewritten: Healing Old Friendship Patterns + Creating a New Way of Being Together

Season 35 Episode 1 Published 1 week, 5 days ago
Description

This panel began with an intention to explore friendship patterns.

What unfolded became something deeper.

We gathered in circle and asked the question many women quietly carry:

How do we stop betraying ourselves and still remain in relationship?

Through breathwork and honest dialogue, we explored the sisterhood wound and the mother as our first relationship with women. We looked at the ways many of us learned to choose attachment over authenticity. The ways we fawned, overfunctioned, shrank, competed, or contorted ourselves to stay connected.

We spoke about shame. About betrayal. About eldest daughter survival. About cocooning seasons and selective circles. About the grief of realizing how often belonging has required self abandonment.

And something powerful happened.

The healing was in the speaking.

Shame softens in rooms where we feel safe to tell the truth.

Women shared about saying no to a mother for the first time. Cutting cords without anger. Allowing pleasure instead of performance. Letting love in after decades of armor. Roaring instead of shrinking. Staying sovereign while staying connected.

“Sisterhood is built in moments like this.”
“We are not alone.”
“What if we could stay true and stay connected?”

This episode is an exploration of authenticity inside relationship. Of learning to hold your ground and stay in the room. Of rewriting old friendship patterns not through perfection, but through presence.

A new way of being together begins when we stop abandoning ourselves.

If this conversation resonates, share it with a woman who is learning to stay.

I am also hosting The Authentic Creative: Breathwork and Reiki by the Sea, a women’s retreat taking place May 3-6 on the Oregon Coast. There are a few spots remaining. If you feel curious, you are welcome to email me and we can explore together whether it is the right fit.

Thank you for walking this devotional path with me. I am deeply honored to share this creative and healing journey alongside you.
