Learner drivers in Clare will now have to meet additional requirments in order to sit a test. From the 9th of March, learners will have to provide physical proof to testers that they are insured in the vehicle used in the exam or they will not be permitted to complete the test. The new requirement was introduced following threats of a full day work stoppage by Road Safety Authourity testers last Friday. Chris Curran of the Chris Curran Coaching Driving School in Ennis, says providing additional documentation will become a routine procedure.
