In this message we learn the role and function of the NT prophet and how it differs from the OT prophet and that Jesus is the Spirit of the prophetic word. The main emphasis of the NT prophet is to interpret the hidden things of the OT and show their fulfillment in Christ. There is also the prophecy that comes via words of knowledge but is subservient to the revelation of Christ. Prophecy is characterized by edification, exhortation and comfort. The future dimension of prophecy is focused mainly toward the return of Jesus Christ. Also there is a short communion in this message as well
