God created the world by speaking, then made humanity in His image with the same capacity to speak, create, and shape the future. In Episode 12 of "God’s Image In Man," Duane Sheriff teaches that, as His image-bearers, we frame our personal reality by our words.

Words function as seeds, producing either blessing or cursing, life or death. Jesus modeled this perfectly— declaring that His words were spirit and life. Through the parable of the sower in Mark 4, we learn that God’s Word must be received into the heart, mixed with faith, and spoken in order to reproduce after its own kind. As we meditate on God’s promises and speak them in faith, a transformation takes place, and our mouths release words of life, faith, and blessing.
