Story Transcript:

Sl: Matej in Lara sta stala na obali Blejskega jezera.
En: Matej and Lara stood on the shore of Bled Lake.

Sl: Zrak je bil hladen, zima je vladala.
En: The air was cold; winter was reigning.

Sl: Jezero je bilo prekrito s tanko plastjo ledu, gora Triglav je bila v daljavi pokrita s snegom.
En: The lake was covered with a thin layer of ice, and Triglav mountain was in the distance, covered in snow.

Sl: Letos sta se odločila obiskati otok s cerkvijo.
En: This year, they decided to visit the island with the church.

Sl: Matej je želel preživeti več časa z Laro.
En: Matej wanted to spend more time with Lara.

Sl: Njegovo srce je hrepenelo po več kot prijateljstvu.
En: His heart longed for more than friendship.

Sl: "Pridi, Lara. Čoln nas že čaka," je rekel Matej.
En: "Come, Lara. The boat is waiting for us," said Matej.

Sl: S čolnom sta počasi plula proti otoku.
En: They slowly rowed towards the island.

Sl: V daljavi je snežilo.

Sl: Lara je uživala v miru narave.

Sl: Stres iz službe počasi izginja.

Sl: "Tako lepo je tukaj. Tak mir," je rekla.
En: "It's so beautiful here. Such peace," she said.

Sl: Matej ji je pokimal, vendar je v sebi čutil nemir.
En: Matej nodded, but he felt restless inside.

Sl: "Kako naj ji povem?" se je spraševal.
En: "How should I tell her?" he wondered.

Sl: Ko sta pristala na otoku, sta se odpravila po ozki zasneženi poti.

En: The wind began to blow, and a snowstorm loomed on the horizon.

Sl: Lara je povzela: "Kaj če naju ujame sneg?"
En: Lara pondered: "What if the snow catches us?"

Sl: "Nič hudega. Cerkvica je blizu," je Matej odgovoril, čeprav je bil tudi sam nekoliko zaskrbljen.
En: "No worries. The little church is close," replied Matej, though he was slightly concerned himself.

Sl: Ko sta vstopila v cerkev, je nastala tišina.
En: When they entered the church, silence ensued.

Sl: Svetloba sveč je sproščala topli sijaj.
En: The candlelight emitted a warm glow.

Sl: "Lara," je Matej končno začel, "raje ti nekaj povem."
En: "Lara," Matej finally began, "I'd rather tell you something."

Sl: Lara je zavzdihnila.
En: Lara sighed.

Sl: "Kako lahko tukaj razmišljam o službi?"
En: "How can I think of work here?"

Sl: Matej pogleda Lara v oči.
En: Matej looked Lara in the eyes.

Sl: "Ni o službi. Gre zame. Želim ti povedati o svojih občutkih."
En: "It's not about work. It's about me. I want to tell you about my feelings."

Sl: Lara je bila presenečena.
En: Lara was surprised.
