On this episode of Up+Adam, Adam sits down with Cal Poly Experience Industry Management (EIM) students Rylee Rust, Collette Madden, and Delaney Grau to talk about “Wine You Want to Listen To” happening Sunday, March 8 from 2 pm to 4 pm at Timbre Winery’s winemaking facility inside The Lobro Studios in San Luis Obispo.

This is not just a class project. It is a fully produced, professionally executed wine tasting experience built from the ground up by the next generation of event leaders. From marketing strategy and brand alignment to production logistics and immersive experience design, these students are applying Cal Poly’s Learn by Doing philosophy in real time. The result is a complimentary wine tasting event featuring live music from Cal Poly band Penny Jar, light bites, intentional ambiance, and a seamless guest journey from RSVP to final pour.

We talk about what really goes into producing an event like this, how post COVID audiences crave connection, and why word of mouth still beats every algorithm in the room.
