There's a new wave of violence across Mexico today, after one of the world's most-wanted drug traffickers - the cartel boss known as El Mencho - was killed by security forces on Sunday.

El Mencho - who led the Jalisco New Generation Cartel - was killed along with at least six alleged accomplices.

His death set off a wave of cartel violence; with cars torched and gunmen blocking highways in more than half-a-dozen states.
