The University of Wisconsin’s Department of African American Studies was born by popular demand out of the civil rights era. They’re holding their 2026 student symposium this week. We’ll hear from undergraduate participants Heaven Williams and Sophia Grigsby and faculty advisor Max Felker-Kantor.
