On March 4th, 2025, one man set off from Istanbul, Turkey with an extraordinary goal — to walk more than 6,000 kilometres all the way home to Claremorris in County Mayo… completely barefoot.
Eamonn Keaveney has already smashed the existing world record for the longest barefoot journey and is now making his way across Ireland, raising funds for Jigsaw and Friends of the Earth along the way.
Alan Morrissey was delighted to speak with Eamonn about this incredible journey and what it has meant to him.
