A Prayer for What Truly Matters

Loving God,

We want a good life.

We want peace.

We want a life that feels full.

We want relationships that last.

But we confess how easily we chase what cannot satisfy.

We reach.

We strive.

We accumulate.

And still feel empty.

Teach us to seek first.

Turn our hearts toward Your Kingdom —

a love-centered way of life.

Form in us true righteousness —

not self-righteousness,

but right relationship.

Right relationship with You.

Right relationship with ourselves.

Right relationship with others.

Give us the courage to choose what endures.

Free us from what promises life but doesn’t deliver.

And as we pursue what truly matters,

let Your peace become not a distant dream,

but the life we live.
