Lt: Medžių apsuptyje, snieguotas miško takuose sėdi rustinė trobelė.
En: Surrounded by trees, a rustic cabin sits on the snowy forest paths.
Lt: Viduje dega šilta ugnis, langai aprašyti šalčiu, o Gediminas, Ruta ir Jurgis ruošiasi Užgavėnėms.
En: Inside, a warm fire burns, the windows are frosted over, and Gediminas, Ruta, and Jurgis are getting ready for the Užgavėnės.
Lt: Jie turi planų – daug blynų, maskaradinius kostiumus ir... šokoladinį pyragą!
En: They have plans—lots of pancakes, masquerade costumes, and... a chocolate cake!
Lt: Deja, nutinka kažkas netikėto.
En: Unfortunately, something unexpected happens.
Lt: Tą rytą Gediminas prabundęs pajunta šaltą vėją, kurį įleidžia neuždarytos trobelės durys.
En: That morning, Gediminas wakes up and feels a cold wind, which comes through the open cabin door.
Lt: "Ruta, ar palikai duris atidarytas?" – negarsiai paklausia jis.
En: "Ruta, did you leave the door open?" he asks quietly.
Lt: Tiesiog tą akimirką Jurgis juokiasi, pamatęs pėdas sniege ties durimi.
En: Just then, Jurgis laughs upon seeing footprints in the snow near the door.
Lt: "Pažiūrėkit, kažkas buvo čia!", – sušunka jis.
En: "Look, someone was here!" he exclaims.
Lt: Viduje chaosą atkurtų sniego lavina link durų, o Gediminui atrodo, kad kažkas trūksta.
En: Inside, chaos is restored by a snow avalanche near the door, and Gediminas feels like something is missing.
Lt: "Pyragas! Jis dingo!", – pasakė jis pagalvojęs.
En: "The cake! It's gone!" he says after thinking.
Lt: Visos trys galvos nukrypsta į virtuvę, kur ant stalo nieko neliko, tik trupiniai.
En: All three heads turn to the kitchen, where only crumbs remain on the table.
Lt: Staiga jie pamato voverę, laikančią pyrago gabalą.
En: Suddenly, they see a squirrel holding a piece of cake.
Lt: Voverė yra gudri ir greita, o kai rūpnūs Gedimino bandymai ją nuvyti nesėkmingi, jis gauna idėją.
En: The squirrel is clever and quick, and when Gediminas's careful attempts to chase it away fail, he gets an idea.
Lt: "Man reikia pasipuošti! Užgavėnės naktis vis tiek ypatinga", – nusprendžia jis.
En: "I need to dress up! The night of Užgavėnės is special anyway," he decides.
Lt: Gediminas apsivelka seną, didžiulį paltą ir baisią, didelę kaukę.
En: Gediminas puts on an old, oversized coat and a scary, large mask.
Lt: Jis atrodo tarsi kažkas iš siaubo pasakojimo.
En: He looks like something out of a horror story.
Lt: Jis triukšmingai įsiveržia į virtuvę, grasindamas juoku išgąsdinti voverę.
En: He bursts into the kitchen noisily, threatening to scare away the squirrel with laughter.
Lt: Voverė, nustebusi ir neatsilikdama, staiga pašoka ant sietyno.
En: The squirrel, surprised and undeterred, suddenly jumps onto the chandelier.
Lt: Pyrago gabaliukai pasklinda aplink kaip šokoladinis lietaus debesis.
En: Cake pieces scatter around like a chocolate rain cloud.
Lt: "Oi!", – Jurgis juokiasi ir Ruta sušunka: "Mes dar galime jį surinkti!".
En: "Oh!" Jurgis laughs, and Ruta shouts, "We can still gather it!"
Lt: Jie surenka pyrago gabalus ir, nors pyragas nebėra tobulas, jie juokiasi.
En: They collect the cake pieces, and even though the cake is no longer perfect, they laugh.
