Description
Eighteen-year-old prospect Eli Willits, the Washington Nationals top pick, made his major league debut in the first spring training game, replacing CJ Abrams in the sixth inning. Despite striking out in his only at-bat, Willits impressed manager Blake Butera with his composure at the plate. The young infielder, who hit .300 with a .757 OPS in single-A last season, is expected to reach the majors by 2028, but his early debut has fans excited for his future.
