Growing Up With Orthodox Foster Parents Led Me To Islam | Latino Revert Story

Description

In this Muslim revert story Kareem shares how attending his first Friday prayer out of curiosity led him to taking his shahada and becoming a Muslim. Before Kareem reverted to Islam he was a culturally Christian Cuban living in Canada who spent time in foster care with a practicing Christian family but never felt connected to the faith. He went to church for years but eventually fell off and lived a secular lifestyle in university. After his Libyan friend invited him to Jummah he was struck by the physical acts of worship, the cleanliness of wudu, and how the 20-minute Friday prayer taught him more than 6 hours of Sunday mass ever did. He completed an entire Ramadan as a non-Muslim before finally taking his shahada.I hope you enjoy the Muslim convert story of Kareem Cubano-Subscribe to the Revert Of The Week Newsletter: https://canyon-mimbs.kit.com/revert-0:00 - Introduction4:51 - Parents' Divorce and Mom's Mental Health Struggles9:42 - Foster Care Experience with a Christian Family14:33 - University Life and Meeting Muslims19:24 - First Time Attending Jummah Prayer24:15 - The Beauty of Islamic Prayer and Worship29:06 - Praying at University and Preparing for Ramadan33:57 - Completing Ramadan as a Non-Muslim38:48 - Comparing Islam and Christianity43:39 - Booking an Appointment to Take Shahada48:30 - Taking Shahada in Hamtramck, Michigan53:21 - Signs from Allah58:12 - Father's Call for Help1:03:03 - Final Advice-Clips Channel:    / @canyonmimbsshowclips  Kareem:   / kareemcubano  Canyon:    / canyonmimbs  Contact Us: canyon@canyonmimbs.com#Revert #RevertStory #Muslim
