Story Transcript:

Et: Raivo jalutas vaikselt mööda Kadrioru parki.
En: Raivo walked quietly through Kadrioru Park.

En: He was wearing a thick wool coat, and his grandmother's knitted warm scarf was wrapped around his neck.

En: The snow-covered park was magical, but Raivo couldn't quite enjoy the peace.

Et: Ta tundis, et tal on saba taga.
En: He felt like he had a tail following him.

Et: Need tüütud kajakad!
En: Those annoying seagulls!

En: They circled above his head, cawing plaintively and constantly disturbing him.

En: Raivo tried to ignore them, but it was as if the birds intentionally wouldn't leave him alone.

En: He looked around and decided to take shelter under the park's small pavilion.

En: The pavilion was like a small refuge, simple and quiet.

Et: Raivo astus sisse ja ohkas kergendatult.
En: Raivo stepped inside and sighed with relief.

Et: Lõpuks ometi rahu.
En: Finally, some peace.

En: But then he heard a familiar voice: "Raivo?

Et: Kas sina oled siin?"
En: Is that you?"

En: Raivo turned and saw a smiling Maarja, his old childhood friend.

Et: Ta polnud Maarjat aastaid näinud.
En: He hadn't seen Maarja in years.

Et: "Maarja?
En: "Maarja?

Et: See on tõesti sina?"
En: Is it really you?"

Et: Õue kajakad keeldusid lahkumast, nende lärmakas kraaklemine tõusis üle lumise pargi.
En: Outside, the seagulls refused to leave, their noisy cawing rising above the snowy park.

En: But Raivo didn't care because now he had found something much more important—a long-lost friend.

Et: Nad hakkasid vestlema, jagades lugusid möödunud aastatest.
En: They began to chat, sharing stories from the past years.

En: Maarja spoke of her travels abroad, and Raivo talked about his art projects.

Et: "Need kajakad on ikka tõelised naljanumbrid," muigas Maarja, kui üks julge lind üritas paviljoni katusele maanduda.
En: "These seagulls are real comedians," Maarja chuckled as one bold bird tried to land on the pavilion roof.

Et: Raivo pidi naerma.
En: Raivo had to laugh.

En: It was a bit ironic that something as annoying as seagulls brought them together.

En: They laughed and realized that maybe the seagulls weren't a bad thing after all.

Et: Kogu see ootamatu kohtumine Maarjaga inspireeris Raivot.
En: The whole unexpected encounter with Maarja inspired Raivo.

Et: Ta teadis, et tema järgmise maal
