On this episode, the boys had special guest Max Davies on the podcast! Max has PRs of 3:33 in the 1500 and 3:53 in the mile. He is the 2025 Canadian 1500m champion and recently signed his first professional contract with Brooks!
Max had a breakthrough 2025 season which culminated in his first pro contract going into 2026. We talked about that breakthrough year, the process of going pro, and future goals! Max is hoping to run the Commonwealth Games and World Road Running Champs for Team Canada this year, and also hopes to break the Canadian 1500m record!
We learned a bit about the Canadian collegiate athletic system on this episode which was interesting as well - their rules allow Max to be a pro runner and still compete for his school, University of Guelph!
