The early believers in Hebrews were tempted to go back to what was comfortable. Persecution was rising. Following Jesus was getting hard. And drifting felt easier than standing firm.

Hebrews 2–3 reminds us:

• Jesus became one of us to save us

• He is worthy of greater honor than Moses

• Don’t let circumstances harden your heart

Jesus didn’t stand on the shore and shout instructions.

He stepped into our world.

He became our High Priest.

He became our sacrifice.

He became our rescue.
