In the Disputed Territories (Gaza, Judea and Samaria, East Jerusalem), Israeli forces identified a Palestinian attacker who crossed the yellow line and approached Golani troops in southern Gaza, presenting an immediate threat. The air force, guided from the ground, struck and killed the attacker to remove the threat. Ground forces deployed in the south under the security arrangement will continue to act to remove any immediate danger. In the West Bank, as Ramadan began, the IDF’s Judea and Samaria Division, under Brigadier General Kobi Heller, has carried out operations to arrest inciters, focusing on social media, alongside public relations efforts and discussions with senior Palestinian officials to prevent inflaming tensions. In the past two weeks, 17 key inciters have been arrested. Palestinian media also reported the arrest of Sheikh Muhammad Ali al-Abbasi, an imam of al-Aqsa Mosque. The broader campaign, ongoing since October 7, seeks to curb incitement from sermons, speeches and online content that could fuel attacks, with the IDF and Shin Bet aiming to reduce violence from organized infrastructures or cells.

In the Disputed Territories (Gaza, Judea and Samaria, East Jerusalem), a Jewish People Policy Institute study found that media coverage and demonstrations related to the IDF’s entry into Rafah drew roughly 100 times more attention than Iranian protests. The study examined the disparity between international response to the violence surrounding the Israel-Hamas conflict and the protests in Iran, and was conducted by the Glazer Information Center at JPPI. JPPI President Prof. Yedidia Stern noted the research aims to show that when Israel conducts a defensive war against armed terrorist organizations that attacked it, it is judged harshly. The study highlighted gaps in international media coverage and the number of protests in the United States surrounding each issue, underscoring a marked difference in global attention.

In the Disputed Territories (Gaza, Judea and Samaria, East Jerusalem), the IDF’s focus on incitement continues at the start of Ramadan, with authorities emphasizing steps to prevent flare-ups and violence through targeted arrests, public messaging, and coordination with security agencies to reduce triggers for attacks.
