En: The summer heat outside the hospitaal thickened, making the city streets silent.

Af: Binne in die lesingsaal het Hendrik rondgekrap met sy skoolnotas.
En: Inside the lecture hall, Hendrik was rummaging through his school notes.

Af: Die groot vertoonkamer was koel, met baie stoele en 'n projektor wat gereed was vir sy lesing.
En: The large presentation room was cool, with plenty of chairs and a projector ready for his lecture.
