A Leicestershire man, Michael Lawrence, is sentenced to over four years in prison for grooming a 12-year-old girl he met at a railway station. Over two years, he sent over 1,200 inappropriate messages, escalating from flirty to sexual, despite knowing the girls age. Despite his lack of remorse, he asked police if they thought he was dangerous during his arrest. He will also serve two years on extended license, be on the sex offenders register indefinitely, and face a sexual harm prevention order.
