Sl: Mateja je stala ob robu Blejskega jezera.
En: Mateja stood at the edge of Blejsko jezero.

Sl: Zima je bila v polnem razcvetu.
En: Winter was in full bloom.

Sl: Sneg je pokril tla in Bledova cerkev na otoku je bila kot iz pravljice.
En: Snow covered the ground, and Bledova church on the island looked like something out of a fairy tale.

Sl: Danes je Valentinovo.
En: Today was Valentine's Day.

Sl: Mateja si je želela popolnega dneva.
En: Mateja wished for a perfect day.

Sl: Sanjala je o romantičnem sprehodu s posebnim nekom.
En: She dreamed of a romantic walk with someone special.

Sl: Vendar pa je bil danes tudi pustni karneval pri jezeru.
En: However, today there was also a carnival at the lake.

Sl: Grega je ob njej smeje gledal snežinke.

Sl: "Poglej to, Mateja," je rekel, "nisva še nikoli zgrešila karnevala!

Sl: Vedno je iskal smešne situacije.
