Back to EpisodesUK Leader Starmer’s Surveillance State EXPOSED: Inside Labour’s Plot To Gag Press Amid Smear Campaign
Description
British leader Sir Keir Starmer has been forced to launch a government probe into a Labour think tank accused of commissioning a dirty dossier on British journalists. The Cabinet Office is investigating the behaviour of Labour Together hiring a private investigator to look into two Sunday Times reporters digging into their dodgy donations.
It resulted in several baseless smears being made against the journalists Gabriel Pogrund and Harry Yorke. The boss of Labour Together at the time was Josh Simons, who is now an MP and Cabinet Office Minister. Lord (Toby) Young of the Free Speech Union calls it “the censorship industrial complex.” He claims Labour-linked outfits like Hope Not Hate and the Centre for Countering Digital Hate are just “factories for manufacturing smears against pesky gadfly journalists.”
