Sl: Zimski jutro je objelo Bled z nežnim snegom, ki je prekril vse do obale jezera.
En: A winter morning embraced Bled with gentle snow, which covered everything up to the shores of the lake.

Sl: Matic in Tanja sta stala na pomolu, opazovala delno zamrznjeno gladino in razkosano svetlobo, ki jo je preslikav snega ustvarila na vodi.
En: Matic and Tanja stood on the pier, watching the partly frozen surface and the diffused light that the reflection of the snow created on the water.

Sl: Bilo je pustno obdobje, a namesto mask in veselja sta oba v srcu čutila napetost in pričakovanje.
En: It was the carnival season, but instead of masks and joy, both felt tension and anticipation in their hearts.

Sl: Matic, poln energije in želje po avanturi, je držal vesla za skromni čoln, v katerem sta načrtovala potovanje na Blejski otok.

En: Tanja's pragmatism battled with her love for mystery, but Matic's persistence prevailed.

Sl: Skupaj sta zagnala čoln v vodo.
En: Together, they launched the boat into the water.

Sl: Na mirni gladini jezera je bil raztresen papir, komajda viden v svetlobi dneva, a dovolj, da je Maticova radovednost vzplamtela.

Sl: Mraz je zarezal v kožo, toda vzburjenje je grelo srce.
En: The cold cut into their skin, but the excitement warmed their hearts.

Sl: Matic je veslal, Tanja pa je analizirala star zemljevid, poka sebe, kje bi lahko bil skriti zaklad ali zgodovina, vredna opisa v njenem prihajajočem romanu.
